First graders learned that geometric shapes are shapes made by hands. They're clear and simple and easy to understand. If you can name it, it's GE-O-metric. If if follows the rules, it's GE-O-metric.
Using construction paper, scissors, and glue, first grade artists created their own world of geometric shapes. Notice the details in these collages below. The yellow semi-circle at the bottom of the green paper composition is the sunset. The two city buildings on the orange paper represent the twin towers.
