North students spent our final week making artsy Christmassy decor. (Teachers did, too!)
..used their shoe to make art. Yep! That's right. They pressed a ball of clay onto their shoe to collect the soul's texture. These ornaments turned out to be AWESOME!
..were inspired by Alexander Calder's mobiles. They used their knowledge of free-form shapes to create these spectacular moving sculptures!
Learned a painting process that uses simple materials and creates an unbelievable masterpiece! (photos to come!)
North teachers had a blast painting at Danville's Gallery on the Square!
Check out the masterpieces of kindergarten, first, second grade KID Artists in training!
About the Artists:
There are 570 budding K-2 kid-artists in training at North Elementary!
Miss Pourcho and these kid-artists love being inspired by Master Artists and ARTifacts from around the World!
It's an adventure each week as we
LOOK at Art,
TALK about Art, and MAKE Art!
