The Moment:

On this October day I spent the afternoon with the daughters of a good friend of mine. We loaded up my old easels and a bagful of paints, and together we set out for Eagle Creek Park. We lined up our easels next to each other, and I was amused by their enthusiasm. There excitement was contagious.I watched as they freely mixed paint and slapped brushstroke upon brushstroke on the canvas. You’d never know it was their first plein air painting.
